If you are an army wife in Europe, READ THIS.
I just found out today that your gas coupons EXPIRE at the end of every fiscal year (Sept 30th). So what you need to do is take any remaining gas coupons that you have on Sept 30th to the Px to get a refund and then buy your new coupons for the next fiscal year. They are a different color every year so it's pretty noticeable and you won't be able to use any coupons that you've bought before Sept 30th, so be sure you don't lose any money on this!

I just wanted to thank you for this blog. My husband and I are PCSing to Vicenza in January and I am trying to soak up as much information as possible. It has been a big help to my folks as well since their only daughter is moving across the ocean ;)

ReplyDeleteFrankly, the housing thing. This has me so confused. From what I have gathered is we won't be in Villagio because we don't have kids. I keep seeing where they will show you 2 places (not of your choosing) and if you refuse then you can go to private housing (which frankly scares me a little with paying utilities). On the flip side I have heard if you refuse the housing and go to private they "may" with hold your BAH till those other places are filled. Sorry for the rambling but this has been the only thing that has me really confused.
